Weddings are no longer drive by events – they are now weekend-long functions designed to maximize quality time with your loved ones. It’s become a new tradition to plan a morning-after brunch for you to see your guests one final time before they head home and you depart for your honeymoon. This can be informal, and no-host (which means everyone pays for themselves) at a local restaurant. You could also do a casual reception at the hotel where the guests are staying, or you could do it at home. Your tent and floor will probably still be there. You can arrange with your rental company to leave the tables and chairs behind. Your caterer would be more than happy to help you with this, or you could do something as simple as picking up Dunkin’ Donuts and coffee. Any way you do it, your guests will likely be thrilled for the chance to spend some more time with you before heading home.
No matter what you plan to do, make a plan for letting guests know about the brunch. You could send formal invitations, include a card within the wedding invitation, put the information on the wedding website, or use Evite. Just make sure everyone who you want to attend knows about the event.
