Working on this Virginia Backyard Farm wedding ceremony was a total joy. While the weather did not cooperate with us, it was cloudy and drizzling, the couple was in very high spirits, as you can see!
Becca and Will married at Will’s family property near Winchester, Virginia. The home is gorgeous, very reminiscent of an Italian villa. It offered some absolutely amazing photo ops. I was glad we had Lisa Boggs for so many hours!
The wedding invitation, above, features a custom drawing of the home. Below you see the welcome box and the welcome note. The welcome note features a drawing of the whole house and the sticker features wisteria, which grows on the patio of the home. The wisteria was our inspiration for adding pale purple the overall color palette.
In the welcome box, we included honey made on Will’s family farm and a cookie from a well-known bakery in Middleburg. UTZ Old Bay chips were also included as a nod to Becca’s childhood in Maryland.
Virginia Family Farm: Getting Ready
I’m a broken record with this, but getting ready at home is beyond special and precious. These are always some of my favorite photos.

Virginia Backyard Farm Wedding Ceremony
For the ceremony program, we used the wider-scale drawing of the home and backyard. I absolutely love doing this with home weddings. If you’re having a backyard wedding, get a custom drawing made and put it on everything!
