Today I am sharing a McLean home wedding from the summer of 2019. This creative, L.A.-based couple returned to the groom’s childhood home in Virginia for their colorful and lively wedding day.
The ceremony was in the front yard near the small pond. We used vintage benches mixed with crossback chairs for the ceremony seating. The area wasn’t perfectly level, as you can see, but it was workable for a 30-minute ceremony.
Getting Ready: McLean Home Wedding
This couple lives in Los Angeles and they have incredible style. Between her braid and back necklace, and his green tux and leopard chucks, I am obsessed.
The small pond near the ceremony site offered really great photo opportunities, but this kind of stuff (getting into the boat, getting onto the water, getting back to the dock) takes a lot of time and you need to plan accordingly, otherwise the rest of the day will be behind schedule.
McLean Home Wedding Ceremony
The groom put up a good front, but when the bride came down the aisle, he totally melted.
A family friend led the wedding ceremony, including the performance of a personal song.
