After a touching home wedding ceremony, the wedding guests enjoyed the backyard wedding reception of this McLean home. Cocktail hour was in the backyard. The reception tent was installed on the driveway by the 3 car garage. This allowed us to not spend thousands on a leveled tent floor.
We installed a plywood floor topped with this neutral AstroTurf. Thus the asphalt of the driveway wasn’t seen under the wedding reception tent. It was an added expense, of course, but it definitely elevates the look.
This vintage post office piece displayed the escort cards in the backyard cocktail hour.
This rustic tree bark wedding cake fit in perfectly with the flowers that the mother of the groom designed and arranged.
If you’re going to do a choreographed dance, I recommend you make it fun and representative of your personalities! The wedding guests loved this first dance!
