I might be a bit biased, since this real save-the-date is from one of my clients, but I think it is perfect for their at-home wedding. This is a scan of an original painting of the country home that has been in the groom’s family for decades, and the couple will wed there in September. I know that it is popular to include a photo of the couple on modern save-the-dates, and there was a photo of my clients on the back of this card. But, the save-the-date truly is the guests’ first impression of your wedding, so I prefer a save-the-date coordinate with the rest of the stationery. In this case, it does not coordinate with the formal invitation, but it does a great job of setting the stage for the upcoming autumn wedding.
