Today I am sharing something that I’ve been wanting to create for my wedding clients for years – a time-lapse video of a wedding tent set up! I really wanted to show people how much work goes into these set ups so that they understand why tents “cost so much.” I wrote an extensive post about why tents cost so much for United With Love, which you can find here.
Featuring another gorgeous clear top frame tent used for a wedding ceremony and dinner reception in Alexandria, Virginia. Not at a private home, but at the Hotel Monaco, yet still a really pretty set up. This tent came from Classic Party Rentals. Photos by the immensely talented Sam Hurd.
How gorgeous is this clear top tent from Select Event Rental?! It was not installed at a private home, but it is still stunning. It just glows at night, and takes my breath away. You really can appreciate being outdoors while still protecting your guests from the elements. Photos made by Kurstin Roe.
After their river bank wedding ceremony, Samantha and Mark’s guests gathered around the barn for a casual celebration. Design Cuisine set up a tasty lemonade stand to complement the troughs of canned drinks on ice. Guests played lawn games and enjoyed a photo booth from The Prop Stop. Lynnvale used whitewashed boxes for the centerpieces and Meant To Be Calligraphy did a chalkboard menu for the dinner buffet. Again, thanks to Natalie Lane Photography for the great memories.
Samantha and Mark married at her mom’s farm in Front Royal, Virginia. The nuptials were on the river bank, with a sweet, personal ceremony filled with the participation of adorable nieces and nephews. Lynnvale Studio created gorgeous blue and white florals. Natalie Lane made these fantastic photos. Sidebar: Samantha’s dad Larry has a business partner named Paul. Between these two dads, I’ve now done four weddings, two of which were at this farm. It gives me such joy and honor to be a regular part of these families’ celebrations.
Kristyn and Eric debated about whether to host both their wedding ceremony and reception at Eric’ family property in Purcellville, Virginia. Ultimately they decided to host the ceremony there, and to celebrate afterwards at a local vineyard. Laura Ashbrook Photography created these gorgeous pictures, despite it being a slightly drab and dreary day. A property that has been in Eric’s family for generations, Kristyn and Eric will definitely cherish the memories of being able to get ready and marry there. Lynnvale Studios created the stunning and cheery florals for the wedding – I loved this demure color palette for a September wedding. Kristyn and Eric went with a white top frame tent for the ceremony, with a few strategically placed clear sidewalls to protect their guests from the wind and drizzle. We also had about 50 white umbrellas on hand for guests to use as they got off the buses and walked to the tent.
Thanks again to Laura Ashbrook Photography for these incredible photos. I rarely see such a perfect collection of wedding pictures. Kudos!
